nice shots, i prefer the B and W, I liked grain in film days, I am not smitten with digital noise. if this was a filter, can we see one without it?

Another print on velvet effect... recall when people sold Alvis Prstly photos printed on velvet... your model is so much more appealing than Alvis ever was.

Both equally beautiful in their own way. I do love the color variation in #1.

The grain adds a special mysterious effect both Color and B&W stand on their own, both high impact by spicing with the perfect imperfection of grain. I like this effect sort of dream-like.

we will have to agree to disagree, the effect in these images doesn't look like grain to me. this is a scanned image from years ago, Tri-X pushed to asa 1200.

As I've stated before, these are scaned 35 mm Agfa ASA 400 color negatives

It was a home made filter that I was trying out.

I like the lighting and the emotional impact of the B&W. Looking at the original color version, it fairly begs for a monochrome rendering. I don't think that the grainy look detracts from the image at all.

Both are really nice photographs. My preference is the black and white version.

grainy equals poor technique. It is no more attractive than crude crayola drawings
