Ever so often I come across a phrase that sings to my heart. One such quote is from Buddha:
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, And the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
I just ran across another -- I hope you like it:

I've heard and used the first one. The second one sounds good too. And they call them primitive
I studied Buddhism for a year in Japan. Went through a ceremony with about 200 Japanese in Tokyo to accept/convert to Buddhism. At the time, it seemed like the right life - way for me. After a couple years I could no longer accept vegetarianism as a reasonable way to live. Apparently, you cannot be a Buddhist without being a vegetarian.

I consider myself a student of Buddhism but like you I am not a pure vegetarian. My excuse is that he said " Do eat whatever is given to you" Laugh in Silence. Shang

May I add another from a young lady who appeared on AGT while suffering from cancer, "You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy." That lady lost her battue with cancer recently. May she rest in peace without pain or suffering.

My excuse is that every time I look at myself in the mirror while brushing my teeth, I see my canines staring back at me.
There is a reason for them being there. And I make good use of them.
