I use fine gear for pre and post but catching strong "natural" reds can be problematic...

Catching these guys as they chase flying insects is tough and you did well here. Exposures are tough as well considering how bright the reds are. You did well here. There is definitely a color shift here with the download. Curious; did you save the image as in sRGB, or just as a jpeg. Could explain the color difference between the original post and the download. Great shot and thanks for sharing.

Just trying to get to the bottom of the color issue. What color space is the file you uploaded to Hedgehog in, sRGB or Adobe RGB 1998?

Good point --I usually (but not always) work in sRBG and save in jpeg --The print people I use prefer RBG.

BIF is hard enough when you can see the bigger birds coming. Catching the little ones involves a generous serving of luck.
