Most likely a young Red-Tailed Hawk. https://www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/red-tailed-hawk

I think it is a juvenile Ferruginous hawk.

I’m thinking this is a young Red-shouldered Hawk. The dark breast spots and reddish patch on the shoulder match several photos on the Merlin Bird ID site out of Cornell University. A young Red-shouldered will not have the typical markings of the adult birds. A Red-tailed hawk doesn’t generally have the over-all spotting on the breast as this bird shows. Young Red-tails also seldom have a red tail. Nice photo. Thanks for sharing. jak

Thanks for the correction. I believe you are correct in calling it a Red-shouldered Hawk.
I was looking at the yellow Cere and the gape in calling it a Ferruge.
Identifying Hawks is a wonderful exercise and I am wrong a good deal of times
Cheers

Well, I hope i'm right, but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. Adult Red-shouldered Hawks are easy to ID because of the tight horizontal red striping of the breast and the checkerboard pattern on the wings. I'm less familiar with the Ferruginous species, which is less common in our area, though we do see them from time to time. Have a great day and enjoy your photography and birding. jak
