We loved the Swing Bridge over the Intercoastal leading to Sunset Beach Island, the most southernly island in NC. At times we had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for it to open & close in traveling back and forth to the island. It was replaced in 2010, but the memories of the older bridge are still very vivid and treasured. It's now a museum. We moved back to NJ in 2011, but every year we returned for a visit to Sunset Beach.

Thank you, Max!! Maybe I was a bit lucky - I had just purchased the Canon 20d, my first DSLR.

Nice. That's what my cameras are for......memories of what I have done and seen.
Forgot - Here's the new bridge that replaced the Swing Bridge.
And here are the small Museum and resting place near the Intercoastal.
