Great photo, I am not in favor of frames and mats... but in this case, they starkly contrast with the on-purpose textured fuzziness of the photo.
I recall many decades ago using wire to make a frame and then filling-out with aluminum foil. Where did the wire coathanger all go, now plastic... no after use.
