The sheep blend in nicely on the canyon wall so download will help to locate them. Except for the ram on the skyline they were mostly invisible to the naked eye. Picture was shot at 200mm.

Great shot. The "download" really showed the sheep. It is a wonderful picture of generally timid animals in repose! Thank you for posting!

Fabulous shot! Was this in Colorado? Where? (I spend several months a year up near Allenspark and have seen them on CO 7 between Lyons and Allenspark.) I counted 6 for sure, maybe a seventh? How many did I miss?

This was in Waterton Canyon, southwest of Denver. The South Platte River flows thru here before exiting the mountains into Chatfield Reservoir.

I'd guess it is about an hour from Allenspark but it is a nice drive if you avoid the route that goes through Boulder and instead leave the mountains on Hwy 6 (Clear Creek Canyon) or get on I-70 near Idaho Springs.

There are seven sheep in the picture. There are two very close together that might be mistaken as one. There were eight in the entire bunch but one kept wandering out of view.

Thank you, everyone, for commenting.

I had intended to mention that there are seven sheep in the photo when I posted it. I'm sorry for omitting that. I did not intend this to become a guessing game where you had to inquire about how many. My apologies.
