The moment I walked into my quarters at the monastery where I am helping out this weekend I knew I was going to do some indoor shooting. Since I was last here the cheese board with dome is new.
The cheese and bread are both made on premises.
All shot with EM1 mkii at ISO 1000 and various f stops and focal lengths.
And yes, the cheese is excellent. Typically the superior gives me some to take home. This stuff makes a grilled cheese sandwich about which one could write a sonnet.

One of the best cheese boards I've ever seen. Dome is very heavy.

All I can say is, WOW!!! Those are some of the finest still life photos I have seen. I like every one of them. Well done.

Wonderful photographs, Father. There'd be little left if I was there. I know Gluttony is one of the seven but good food is good food, especially when shared with friends.

Very nice set of pictures! I really enjoyed them. I wish I could trade you that cheese for some of the caramels the nuns in my area make. Another order makes bread too, that is very good.

Ah, the Trappestine Caramels. They are terrific. The Trappistines in Wrentham, south of Boston, make chocolate. The dark chocolate butternut munch has a shelf-life of 20 minutes in our house. The Trappist monks in Spencer, about an hour and change west of Boston make Trappist Preserves, vestments, and beer.

Let us not forget the Trappist Caskets, more excellent craftsmanship. Even though it is not food related.

Could never forget Trappist caskets. I made my final vow retreat with the Trappists in MA in 2013. I'm not sure I can ever go back there for retreat because it will never be equaled. Day trips only now.
