I've come to the conclusion that I want a FUJIFILM GFX 100S. However, what I want, and what I can get are 2 totally different things! Soooo... I am going to find a quiet corner to hide away while sobbing. And that's all I have to say about that!
Ray.

No point in simply "finding a quiet corner and sobbing" Ray - if you REALLY want a GFX, then set yourself a goal and plan towards it. And there is a used market, certainly here in your old country, for the highly-respected GFX cameras.

Use the time to watch and learn from an excellent landscape pro over here who uses the GFX .......

And for interest - GFX lenses are difficult to understand at first for normal full frame and crop sensor users. Here's a good run down on them ......

It's very amusing to me about the crop factor. All formats have a crop factor regardless if it's bigger or smaller than the FF format.

I try to stay away from reading reviews for cameras I know I won't buy because of the price.

Thank you Craggy, that was very thoughtful of you! Actually my friend is a professional landscape photographer, and he's just about to buy one. (so I'm gonna play with that)! But I'm still going to have a look at the links you posted. Thanks again and have a great day!
Ray.

Really, you believe in all that ? Clearly he’s best off finding a quiet corner and sobbing, exactly as he intends.

Remember the wise Chinese proverb:
“Two kidneys twice as better than one”.

LOL, pretty sure I can live with one GFX, and one kidney! (best of both worlds)! And by the way User, thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't thought of that!

No need to find a corner to sob. There are several digital camera's on the market that can match the specs on this camera for thousands less.
All it will take is a little time and effort on your part. So, get yourself out of that corner and start looking.

They really don’t retire. Too busy searching out the perfect goat locker.
One of the better moments in life is watching a Chief finger wagging up a young jg who didn’t know his place. 😎
