Spent 2 1/2 hours late afternoon today at the Owl site/nest. For the first time I saw 2 Owlets - but no decent Image - yet 8-( .... I did see the Owlets stretching/flapping their wings so it will not be long before they branch and fledge !....I did manage to get the male at the nest with one of the Owlets ! 8-) ...
Again, this is with the Sony A99 and Tammy 150-600 G2 set @ 500mm, f6.3, ISO 1600 with 1.6X CIZ and 3 exposure HDR - the mean shutter speed was 1/250 from tripod - so I was pushing the envelope. It was quite WINDY and very LATE in the day today and the image does show some ghost imaging because of this - and there was also some subject movement. So, as a purely photographic image it has some "problems" - but, IMO, as a GRAPHIC representation and the subject matter - it presents well. In hindsight, I should have cranked the ISO to 3200 and gained some shutter speed .....and let the noise fall where it may. I am thinking about noise software as I do not use any now. The Sony A99 was released in 2013 so it is not state of the art regarding noise 8-(

Great capture Larry.
You might want to look into Topaz Denoise or/and sharpen.

Yes, I have a Sony RX10 IV that I have not used yet - but I am anticipating some noise abatement especially with it ....
Pardon my ignorance, but what and where is the ghost imaging?
