A few years ago I photographed an elderly couple walking arm in arm down a street in Poland. In this composite I used only the shadow of the couple. The birds in the foreground were cut from a street mural. The lone tree was an edited image I shot in the Palouse area of Washington,State. For the sky, I used a close-up image of the bark on a rainbow Eucalyptus tree that I had shot on the Big Island of Hawaii. The birds flying in the sky were created using the Distressed FX app on my phone.

That’s a good/looking composite! The sky is a great example of thinking outside the box and own images throughout lift the whole thing to another level. Very nicely done and thank you for describing the entire build-up, makes so much difference.

I like the addition of the footsteps on the ground (snow.) It creates an implied movement of the couple.
