I recently purchased a Kayak with the specific intention of shooting off shore photography and probably fishing in the future. I shot this photo on the San Diego Bay just last weekend. This is the bow of the USN Aircraft carrier Midway Museum on the San Diego waterfront. I personally am very pleased with this shot and am sharing with UHH first. Questions and comments are of course welcome.

Daniel, I think it's a pretty good photo. A lot of its appeal is the viewpoint from which most never see a carrier. One suggestion is to adjust the photo slightly to avoid the wide-angle lens distortion where the buildings are leaning. This adjustment would also "stretch" the carrier a bit and make it even more impressive.

I did try that but filling in the gaps presents its own set of problems. I had already cloned out several cranes on the right and several anchor cables on the left. Filling in the gaps from the lens correction is not as easy as they are close to the foreground. I'll play around with it and see what I can get.

That's got to worth a try. You could add a bit to the frame so you don't 'lose' anything.
