Problem with QImage

I downloaded QImage because the "Internet" said it was the best software for creating photo packages. I got the trial version and the learning curve wasn't too bad so I opted to buy it. Now I am having problems. I am creating packages on an 8x10 dimension. (The old 1-8x10, 2-5x7, 8 wallets package). I am printing to file so I can send the images to my photo lab as 8x10 units. It works great for the first 3 or 4 packages then it will put gridlines over all or a portion of one of the units in the package. Not all of the units, just one of them. This necessitates making that one unit over again. At other times the program just shuts down and I have to restart it. I do not lose any data and I just pick up at where I was working when the crash occurred. Can anyone advise me as to what's happening? I am sure it must be a setting or something I have not enabled. Any help greatly appreciated.

Key to this: "The internet said"...

Internet folks can say or type anything they want, I do not follow their advice.

When it comes to integrity and veracity, the "Internet" lags far behind. Online advice should only be taken as convenient advice. If you want to get credible advice, roll up your sleeves.

Thank you for the replies but they don't solve my dilemma.

I would send a quick email to Qimage - in the past he has been very responsive. I suppose it will work, but I am not sure how the final images will come out. You would need the ICC profiles for the printer being used to print your images to get the best results - I believe Qimage does some edge sharpening and antialiasing that is based on the printer it is printing to. Mike Chaney, the guy who wrote Qimage is a great person to discuss your issue with. There is a way to contact him halfway down this page.

Ditto Gene's comment on contacting Mike Chaney. In all the years I've used Qimage, I only had 1 small issue with it and Mike helped me out.

Sorry that I can't give you an answer to your problem. I used to do school portraits and would print out hundreds of packages in the same sizes as you. I'm sure you'll get this resolved.

I know nothing about QImage but I noticed you started with a trial version. Could it possibly be that the trial version is still running and the grid lines are a nag?

Agree
Even if a permanent version is purchased, you might have to enter the license nunber physically somewhere. Check under help button, see if any option for entering license number.
