The problem, IMNSHO, wasnt a matter of high or low quality judges. It was (as already explained) the rules by which the competition is intended to be judged.
As to rating the judges, I understand that they had a rotating pool of "qualified" (compliant) judges. I assume I was rated near zero, same as I would rate their snacks and coffee :-/
To be clear, I did not ask to get involved. It was a matter of workplace diplomacy.
