Our area received up to a half inch of ice several days ago, turning our part of the world into an ice palace.
This ancient elm has withstood many seasonal threats, and seems to have shrugged off another, even as all about branches and trees were felled by the weight of the ice.

The tree itself is very graceful and elegant with the ice giving it that extra sparkle. Very nice!
