Thanks to Fstop12's help and inspiration, I made my first attempt at using the Watercolor action in Photoshop. Well, my first attempt was a total failure. I couldn't get the program to run, but I realize now it was because I chose a poor photograph to try this action on. I didn't do any additional editing, not even cropping, other than running the action. If I want to tweak it, do I just open other adjustment panels for that? Obviously, I need to work with this a lot to get better, but I learned some things about running actions for the first time. Thanks again, Fstop!

Thanks, Mike! I thought of you after I made this post! This photo was taken on Antelope Island, when my husband and I were on our retirement trip in the fall of 2018. You've probably been there numerous times. :)

A few times, but I have very little luck with bird shots there.

Good to see you experimenting with this action. I need to warn you though. It can become addicting. LOL. When you downloaded the app and unzipped it there was another file with it that had written PDF instructions for editing the individual layers. It will take you step by step on what each layer folder does. I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

Nicely done. Nothing over the top about your final results.

Thank you! I need to study the instructions further, but was cramped for time to do more playing yesterday. I can see where this can become addicting! lol

I took part of a watercolor course and it is so much more difficult than oils or acrylics... now it is reduced to a photo and a plugin. Works well for me... and push-pull-click-click it is just that quick.**
