Two canon prime lenses I have been waiting for months to be in stock at BnH are offered on Amazon. It’s about $8,000 for both of them.
Just wondering if anyone here has ordered lenses from Amazon and who is the supplier of the lenses?

I just saw that one of the lenses is coming from India. I guess I will wait until BnH gets them back in stock

I bought my Nikkor 200-500 from Amazon because of the prime price and free 2 day delivery.

My rule of thumb when ordering from Amazon is it must say "Sold by Amazon" + "Shipped by Amazon".

Third party sellers can be questionable, so I usually avoid them.

Amazon is not an authorized dealer for many of the products they sell. I've been burnt by them, and refused warranty service at least two times. If they're an AD on the specific item then they're as good as BH

I've had good luck with Amazon. However I prefer to support dedicated Photography sources, and use Amazon only when the primary sources can meet my need.

Amazon is a Nikon Professional Dealer.

But, as mentioned before, you need to be sure the item you purchase 'through' Amazon is sold "By' Amazon.

One thing that Amazon is really good at is handling returns. They provide a QR code that you bring to UPS either printed or on your phone. UPS scans it and gives you a receipt. You don't even need to put the item in a shipping box.

I have gotten 2 Tamron lenses and 1 Sigma lens thru Amazon, thru 3 different dealers all were authorized dealers for their respective lens. Regestered all 3 with Tamron and Sigma, no problems. The dealers were, Altura, Beach camera and Focus Camera. Amazon does sell gray market so you should read the description.

Many Canon products on Amazon are sold by Canon. But Amazon sells lots of third-party products, so you have to watch out.

Amazon is an authorized Canon dealer. As far as product and warranty, no different then buying at B&H, Adorama, etc.

I got tired of waiting for B&H on two Canon lenses last year (on back order for weeks) so I went straight to Canon and had both lenses (and 2x extender) in a few days. I bought the camera (R5 and 24-105 lens) from B*H a few weeks earlier than the lens order and that took several weeks to finally come in.
