Trouble with Elements 2022

A question for users of Photoshop Elements or any techies on the Hog:
I recently upgraded from my 2017 intel MacBook Pro to the new MacBook Pro M1 with Apple’s chip.
Most of my transferred programs were able to upload and work with no problems. Apple had installed a program called Rosetta 2 to facilitate the Mac intel programs to be usable on the new M!.
My copy of Elements 2021 which was enhanced with Elements XXL runs fine. I recently purchased an Elements 2022 download because of a couple of features it has, but I cannot get it to run. I can get the Home Screen, but clicking on the Editor icon doesn’t go anywhere. I know Adobe is working on the problem, but so far they have not created an M1 version.
On my old MacBook with the intel chip I could have two or more earlier versions of Elements loaded with no problems. Do you think trying to have two versions of Elements on the M1 Mac might be the problem. I hesitate to unload the 2021 version because the XXL enhancement is very tricky to integrate into the program for some reason.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I know some will say just go to PS subscription, but I really don’t need the power of that program. Thanks!
