It's like losing a member of the family, because that's what it is. I am sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss Dodie. It is never an easy thing to do even when necessary. We had a little Pom with the same problem, no cure. Murphy will have several of our pets that have passed to play with!

Sorry for your loss. It hurts to let them go even tho you know it’s the right thing to do. We lost our boy, Drift, a year and a half ago. That’s him over there on the left. I tear up every time I think of him, as I am doing now. A very special dog, but aren’t they all?

Thank you so much Tom. My pets are definitely family and losing one really hurts.

Thank you Don. I'm sure your pets along with mine are helping to get him settled in.

Thank you Erkibler. Pets are so special and they know how to wrap themselves in our hearts. I don't know what I would do without mine. They make each day special. My avatar is a cat I adopted from the pound, along with his sister, but he had to be put to sleep 5 month later due to cancer. In those 5 months he managed to make himself so special that he is in my top 3 of best pets.

Sorry for your loss. I know how much it can hurt. Rejoice the good times with Murphy and also those trying puppy years, that led you to love him the way you do......BadDog

Thank you BadDog. Murphy was about a year old when I adopted him so I missed out on the real puppy times but whoever had him never taught him to play and they kept him outside on a chain. I, of course, had him in the house and he was such a good boy. He would get over excited chasing kitties and follow them onto the back of the L-shaped couch and wind up jumping over my head. Nothing like having a 70lb dog sail over you while you are trying to eat dinner. LOL!!!

OH MY HOW I FEEL FOR YOU. We have had to put down one dog and two cats. Holding them while the Vet gave them the shot. Nothing can prepare you for that feeling. Just think of the fun and love you got while they were around.

Thank you HistoryLover. Letting them go is painful. Murphy was a sweet boy and will be in my heart forever.
