In all honesty, I thought this was a hoax at first. It was difficult to determine where this was happening, although it was apparent from the cost amount that it was likely the UK. A quick search and I found this: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-60240677#:~:text=The%20Herald%20leads%20with%20the%20story%20that%20domestic,to%20generate%20electricity%20doubles%20to%20a%20record%20%C2%A32.65bn.

Unbelievable. I would have croaked!

We had a big jump in our natural gas bill and electric bill because some guy convinced us the "delivery charges would be low and stay low. They did not. Our gas bill jumped around $200 dollars over a two month period and our electric bill went up around $80 in a month. Needless to say, but we quickly switched back to the original supplier and delivery company

Our local News Paper here in VA decided to double their price per month.
We called and explained that we were old and on a fixed income.
They relented and told us they would keep our price the same.
What a surprise.

This doesn't surprise me at all. I just did a comparison of the cost of fully charging a Tesla 3 in Canada vs. the UK. $8 in Canada, $57 in the UK. And this is with our useless Carbon Tax!

Now I understand the UK wants everyone with an EV to install a separate power meter so EV's can be charged at a higher energy cost!?

Gotta love going 'green'!!

Hopefully this is not the monthly increase.
