I've been saying this for years, and now it's been shown to be true. Scientists at the University of Rochester (NY) have discovered a gene that makes cell repair more efficient.

"A rare variant of the SIRT6 gene increases DNA repair in human cells, and could help to develop anti-ageing drugs."

Very interesting.
Always wondered what caused cells to reduce/stop regeneration as we age.

Yes, it's all in the genes. I've known families that are sickly and families that are healthy. "Living right" is just a small part of it. No matter how carefully you take care of that old VW Beetle, it's not going to win the Indy 500.

SO, how many might be up for some gene therapy now?

Oh, human cells. I was thinking cellphones. Now that would have been cool.

For some it starts around and 12 or so, and the first to suffer is common sense!!!

"Kill Orders" that work during fetal development. The reason our finger and toe webbing dies away before birth, as an example.

The discussion of perfect "replacement on the cellular level" has been going on as far back at the very least six decades ago that I am aware of.

Anti aging! Yikes! Bad Idea! I don’t have enough money to support me till I reach 100! Being 90 and destitute is not my life dream!

That’ll be a boom for Apple and their next iPhone.
