i made this on the rim of Bryce Canyon. I was looking for a great sunrise and what I got was fog that did not break as the sun came up. I apologize for the small size but with my internet connection I have to sort of shrink things to get them to send out. Any thoughts or comments welcome

I acknowledge that the reality was mist, but generally speaking, minimalist images usually benefit from a bit of starkness.

I find myself apologizing for small size all the time so dont feel bad!

Ive not done well with this type of shot. I had a few recently that I thought would look good but alas, they were not keepers.

To me, the scene has to have other interesting elements, such as fog also partially obscuring the tree in the foreground. Maybe if the tree is further away /smaller in the frame, etc. I say keep trying these, maybe look at some published ones and see what you think.

Is that really what the fog/mist looked like? I suspect not. I bet it was much brighter\whiter. The file seems way under exposed. If nothing else try moving your exposure slider and see if you can't put some life into this. Cameras are notorious for under exposing fog, confused by all the white. As is there is nothing much there, but there might be. Move your sliders. See what you can do to make this pop.
