I am sure many of you have had images you liked but no matter what you did you couldn't get a sharp detailed image without having a ton of over sharpening artifacts etc. etc.
This is one of my ways to rescue an image I like but the focus(or motion blur) is almost sharp.
I use one of the editing apps that changes it to look like a painting, illustration or a cartoon.
This one the focus was just a bit off because the camera has very tiny pixels (Canon 90D-32mp crop sensor) that are extremely sensitive to motion/vibration and it was shot through a double pane glass door. Plus due to the light and the dirty glass from rain followed by wind/dust the colors are a bit washed out so I tweaked them a bit.
But my final result was the image was a bit soft so for this one I went with Photo Shop's "oil painting" effect.
1. full frame Out Of Camera - nothing done
2. cropped only
3. edited and converted to "oil painting" Yes I cloned out some things, including changing the highlight in the eye.
There are a lot of editing apps that allow this type of thing. Most have free trial periods or a few will give you a "lite" version for free. Though the free versions may water mark the image or something else to make you want to pay for the full app.
Sorry but your logo totally obscures your point.

Use "quote reply" please
If you can't see enough of the full frame or the cropped only image to see the soft focus and lack of details which the third image converted to an oil painting was done to save/salvage the image then it might be time for and eye exam and new glasses.
Useful tip, many thanks for posting it.

I have several pics that I am not happy with the focus, this may be away to make some useful.
Nice pic by the way.
