Watched Topics

I have become strangely curious. No matter how many topics I "stop watching", there seem to be 3 that are always there. If I go to the watched topics page, there are many going back years there that won't go away even if I stop watching as many as I can.

There are 2 ways to unwatch. One is to click the blue 'unwatch' to unwatch an individual topic.
The second way is to click the check boxes next to (mark to unwatch) for all you want to unwatch, then scroll to the bottom of the list and select 'Unwatch Selected'

I addition to Bill’s suggestions, if you click on “Watched Topics” at the top of the page, you will be given options for your watched topics.

I finally got rid of all but this one. There were 3 buried in the 2 pages of posts that showed up on the watched page that were always counted.

I have 28,506 watched topics. I'm not about to go to each one and click on "Unwatch." Maybe there could be automatic "unwatching" after a period of time.

If yo go to the "watched topics" page, at the top is a button to stop watching older topics. At the bottom you can select all and delete them from watched topics.
