I came across a YouTube channel dedicated to the "Death in Paradise" TV series.

Yes its a joint BBC and french production about a British detective drafted onto a Caribbean island, and every week they investigated a crime (usually a murder). Ben Millar was the lead star, and he played a great deadpan policeman. I found it very good for the first couple of series, but it got repetitive as it went on!

I really like it. The current series is on 4/8 episode count. In no way does it challenge the brain and some of the 'solutions' are bit silly, but far us (U.K.) or at least me it's the sunshine. Just breaking out of Winter here and a while before it warms up and days get longer. It's almost like a calendar, and for me closing in on my 70's I look forward to Summer in a way that never used to bother me.

Are you 'other siders' getting The Green Planet yet? David Attenboroughs latest. Perhaps one of the things that might interest UHHer's is that plants don't move much so The Diaries detailing how they capture a lot of the footage are of more interest.

Season 11 a bit dreary so far, but my wife still looking at hotels in Guadeloupe. COVID was bad there but short term everything is sold out so am hoping that’s a good sign. She likes the beaches and food, will tolerate my camera gear for the landscapes..

Light-hearted, often predictable who-done-it mysteries in a quaint setting with some good vintage reggae. Hilarious at times, much of the humor is culturally subtle and I find it a nice series to unwind with, and reminisce on, growing up in the Caribbean. Definitely a fan, Jerry!

Really liked the earlier seasons but don't particularly like the current lead detective.

Josephine Jobert is back, though, but I miss Ruby, and, of course, Danny john-Jules.

I imagine the temporary star detectives like filming in the Caribbean.

The first one left because he couldn't stand the heat. Maybe that's why they all leave.

Funny! They could have found a better way to write him off the show.
