Hello from Anchorag Alaska...
I'm James Williams, I was born Sitka Alaska, grew up in the small fishing village of Hoonah Alaska. I'm almost 56 years old and have been into photography mostly on a hobbyist level since I was 17. I have had previous employment experience that allowed me to do photography on a semiprofessional level. I've lived in Anchorage Alaska continuously for almost 23 years.
I'm an Alaskan Native from the Tlingit Tribe of Southeast Alaska. I do Alaskan Native Art as a Totemic Artist. I'm also a self-taught blacksmith, Fly Rod builder, Fly tier fly-fisher, artist, videographer, and photographer. This leaves me wondering, are there any other "Native American" photographers out there? Are there any "Alaskan Native Photographers" besides myself?
