Moss Agate

A small piece of polished moss agate that I've had since I was a teen (I'm 79).
15 shot stack at 1/4mm per step.

I shot on white and then used Photoshop to select and paint the BG white.
PS generally does a good job of selecting the subject, especially a simple one like this.
Once the subject is selected you can invert the selection so only the BG is selected and do whatever you want/need to do.
I know some folks think using PS is 'cheating'.

Neat it is, and the interior of moss agates (and lots of other agates!).
Interesting coincidence that you should post this today. I have a rock saw, and was surprised that today I had cut a thunder egg with a moss agate like interior. Quite unusual.
