Having purchased Luminar AI some time ago, it has just been sitting on my computer, neglected.

I have decided it’s time to learn it, being winter and all, and I am a complete novice with the program. This is a photo I have been working on, how successfully I’m not sure--we shall see how it goes.

I have, as Robert Frost said, miles to go.

Looks pretty good to me, John, but I am a Topaz guy.

Thanks, Mike. I do Topaz, too, and this one is new to me.

It's nice to view the end result,
but not seeing the "before" we have no idea of how well an editor works if we do not have that particular editor.

That’s true. Perhaps when I get better and go out on my own rather than just following a set of directions, I’ll do that. For now, I am just playing, so tho speak.

(It might help people say "That's good, I need to get that software." as opposed to getting it because everyone else uses it.)

Looks good, John. I use On1 so I can't comment on the software.

And as someone said: "when the going gets tough, the tough get going."
You clearly met the challenge. Nice job John. Luminar AI is so powerful that it pays to visualize a tad before editing, and then it will feel like a good glove.

Jaymatt,

I've found Jim Nix on YouTube to be an excellent instructor in using Luminar AI. Luminar Neo is coming out in February or March.

Nice work John. I use both Topaz and Luminar, each for different applications. I find Luminar is quite helpful for landscapes and adding preset "looks" to photos. Topaz I tend to use for the broad range of individual filters it provides. I learn by playing, too, so keep at it!
