It's been cold here for many days now, after a dismal start to the winter. We finally even got snow that we could measure in depth, instead of length. Plus, the weather has stayed cold, so its staying put on the ground. We just had another few inches yesterday, but I managed to take this shot before the latest snow started.
The lake water that is closest to the land was very smooth looking and if you could not see the frozen bits jutting out from the shoreline, you might think it was still liquid. The frozen bits further offshore have been broken up and refrozen and has a rougher looking surface.
After yesterday's snow, this has all now become covered in white. I'm so pleased I decided to go down and take a look just as the sun was setting and get this shot before it all got covered in snow.
A lovely image, and nice work with the border.
Nice. Is it a drone shot?

Thank you for the kind words, all. Yes, this is a drone shot, I have the DJI Mavic 2 Pro with the Hasselblad camera. Been flying drone for about 4 years now.
this is great!! Love drone shots. Did you have to get some type of license to fly it?
Nice shot, it even feels cold.

Well, I've been a pilot and flight instructor for many years, so have a good idea about flying and the laws and regs. To fly a drone though, you need to have it registered with the FAA (if it weighs 250gms or more) and pass the test called T.R.U.S.T. and this must be taken, regardless of the weight of your drone. It must be taken and passed before you can legally fly any drone, though it is easy to pass.
If you want to use a drone commercially, then you need to get your FAA Part 107 license and that requires passing a much more comprehensive FAA exam and of course, there is a charge, to take.
