A friend posted this picture on Facebook, wondering what it is.
Looks like a left-handed thingamajig to me.

Hey Jerry. Reminds me of a purse hanger. You put the round thing on a table top, the other part hangs down, and you hang a purse on the hook part.
The threaded ends give a hint, but I still have no idea. Someone thought it might be from a motorcycle, but I would expect longer threads.

That's what someone on Facebook suggested.
I would definitely have said a purse hanger since I own several, but the threaded ends seem to indicate something else. Also, on most purse hangers the loop that holds the purse is usually bent upward so that the purse is more secure when hanging. Please let us know when you find out the answer.
