The main road into Farmington Bay is much closer to the main pond and hunting areas for the raptors. This produces more photo ops.
The first four shots are the results of my waiting for this kestrel (from two vantage points) to launch. Of course, he flew away as I drove away. The hawk (ID?) was much more cooperative and launched just after I focused on him. The other hawk (ID?) was a considerable distance away, but the long lens captured him.

Jack...No.'s 5,6,7 & 8 are of a Rough-legged hawk...notice the small beak and small talons and the absence of "ferruginous" color on the shoulders and back.
