On a snowy sagebrush stump. These are large crops as he was quite a ways up the mountain. Evidently he wanted to launch down canyon and had to turn around to do so. He made the awkward transition and launched shortly after these photos. These photos are from a Continuous High Speed shooting mode and I've selected some of the better images of the activity.

jederick, You made it difficult for me to select a favorite. You should be pleased with your results! No. 5 was my final choice. Suspect your had to use many of your outdoor skills to work in the snow and get that series.
