This female finch was sitting in the potted Mandarin Orange watching for an opening in the mob at under one feeder scarfing up the spilled sunflower seeds. I was waiting for a head position I liked and not hidden by a branch or thorn. The bird shifted and I mashed the shutter button. By the time the shutter tripped the bird had fallen off the branch in the start of a power dive at the food.
