Anyone familiar with these prints? Would like your opinions, please.
Any particular type of image look better than others?
Pros and cons?
Not sure if you mean "metallic" prints? Not sure if there is a store near you, but I use Bay Photo and was able to go into their store front and see photos printed on their different materials (it isn't too far from where I live). I ended up choosing the metallic prints for a number of photos and really like it. But you may feel differently. It would be best to actually see some?

It looks like what Bay Photo calls Metallic prints? It would be nice to see it in person? Maybe they can tell you where you could see one?

This looks to be paper prints mounted on a sheet of brushed aluminum - quite different than prints directly on aluminum substrate (well, technically, on the dye sublimation coating on an aluminum substrate that Bay, Miller, Aluminyze, HDAluminum and others offer).
Due to the higher reflectivity and greater flatness of the aluminum substrate, prints on aluminum tend to have more "pop" - I have found everything from macro to landscape shots work well. Portraiture, not so much.
But what the ALiumina place offers is a seemingly unique mounting - using standard paper prints. At least, that's how I read their site description.

Thanks so much for the help
I agree with f8lee this is a mounting, framing approach, not a printing approach. I also use Bayphoto for printed on aluminum. I recently have printed on glass with fractureme.com
I often print and sell aluminum prints. They look great, are lightweight, archival and clients love them. Plus they need no matting or framing. 👍

Thx. I'll check with Reed Art and Imaging to make sure the print is on aluminum.

I think that they make two different things, the link you supplied is for printing on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper and then mounted on an aluminum base (brushed ACM). However, like Bay Photo and others, they do "metal prints" as well:
https://reedphoto.com/resources/prices/ready-to-hang-presentations/metal-prints-infused-dye-sub/Not clear which you want? Which is why I think you should try to see examples of both to decide.
I want the print on metal, but there are choices: Matte or Gloss on White, or Gloss on Clear
Any recommendations for a saturated, somewhat darker (inside a slot canyon)- image posted below
Thanks so much for your help. Ugly Hedgehogs ROCK!

Beautiful photo! Yep, the number of choices is mind-numbing! Try reading the descriptions by Bay Photo (see below)? Or call and discuss with Reed photo? Even better would be to go to their shop if they have a store front where they have examples?

Very helpful. I'm heading over there this afternoon.
