Park City UTAH

I am planning a trip to Park City, UT in late April or early May. I am looking for photo suggestions from anyone who may know the area so I don't spend most of my time stumbling about like a greenhorn & getting nothing. Since my window of opportunity is small I want to plan ahead & be as efficient as possible. My first thoughts are scenic & wildlife but I am open to any suggestions or unique ideas you may have. I should mention that I am 84 & a bit less mobile than I was a few years ago. Long hikes on dusty mountain trails are out. Thanks in advance for any ideas you can provide.

Park City area, or at least the mountain areas could still be snow covered depending on how much winter snow they get. I haven't been there is quite a few years, but suspect there is not much wildlife in the immediate Park City area.

UTMike who posts on UHH often and lives in the Salt Lake Valley probably would be a good source of information.

I lived in the rockys outside of Denver for 12 years. That time of year was called mud season snow is melting and the weather sometimes can't make up its mind if it is going to snow, rain or sunshine. Park City maybe the same although I it not as high as Colorado. The best time in the rockys is September, but you may not have a choice. If you do not have a choice it still always good to go.

Park City is near some scenic reservoirs and lakes to the east. Just south is Guardsman Pass, which leads into Big Cottonwood Canyon going one way or the Provo River Valley going the other.

Give me a PM in early April and I can give you better weather info. If you have any other questions, let me know. I will be gone from the end of April to the middle of May (Hilton Head Island).

The Olympic training center is very accessible. It will be after the games, but still interesting; especially if the bobsled or ski jump is operating.
