I took this picture of an eagle a few days ago on the golf course...not as sharp as I think it could be. Any suggestions? I do have PSE and give my permission to do any adjustments for improving the quality.
Thanks...Cher
Afraid no pic. Could be from one of my "great Photos I have missed series!"

I will try that...dont want to los the spanish moss framing. His or hers face just does not look clear to me.
Cool shot! Focus is a little soft on the bird.

I am new..could you explain why it is a little soft. How could I have prevented this? Thanks Cher

Don,t make the crop to severe.....just lose some of the sky at the top

There are a couple possible reasons Cher.
Could be (even slight) camera movement or shake on your part especially if you were using a long lens.
Too slow of a shutter speed will increase the chance of camera movement producing a soft image.
Or possibly you just did not have the bird in sharp focus when you took the picture.
The camera might tell you a subject is in focus but that doesn't always mean it absolutely is in crisp focus.
Sometimes simply the act of pressing the shutter button will cause enough movement to slightly blur an image.
Again, faster shutter speed will help with this.
Were you excited when you saw the eagle? I would be.
Sometimes getting excited about seeing something and then going to take the photo causes shake.
Might sound silly but it happens. :-)
Did you use a tripod or mono pod?
That might help along with using the 2 or 5 second timer so the camera doesn't move when you push the button.
Nice catch of a beautiful bird.

Thanks for your help and comments...I was not using a tripod...just happened to spot it while I was golfing....and yes I was excited which probably added to the camera shake. I will now put a mono pod in my golf bag...lol

could be a variety of reasons. i don't know what aperture shutter speed you were using, but depending on the camera and/or lens, either of those could cause a softer image. then again, some 'consumer' telephoto lenses just aren't that sharp no matter what you do with 'em.
i played with it in Photoshop for a minute, sharpened it up some. is this image cropped, or just resized?
If golfing use a golf-club and hold the camera against the club to steady it.
A fence works or anything that will help you keep it steady.
I noticed your Smiley Bob, now where did you put that eagle?
