Two sets of kids visiting, one after the other, I sure cooked up a storm, but every meal requested was a favorite I've posted before. Between visits, minor surgery to correct an issue - all healed up and back to normal, actually better than before, unusual in my experience with surgery. Anyway, last night, having been out all day, whipped this up. Don't know what you'd call it. Base idea Salsicce e fagioli, beans tomatoes and Italian sausage with spices. Along the way, it acquired a few meatballs, some smoked red peppers, hard salami and a couple of hand fulls of penne rigate. Topped with grated parmesano reggiano, Tasted pretty good - worth a revisit. Ranch cooking for sure, making something tasty out of what's on hand. Photo with my Leica D Lux 109

Thanks so much - it is all about taste, recipe the start. Been working on a soup variation for longer than I should. Part of it is knowing when to stop! Cheese puffs with the soup.
