When I saw the incredibly beautiful photo of Jackson, California posted by indigoblues recently, I was reminded of my service as volunteer photographer at the Kennedy Gold Mine in Jackson, California. From 2014 through 2018 I photographed every artifact and every page of every historic document at the mine. in the thousands I'm sure, though I did not count. I picked out 40 or 50 to show you but don't worry. Here are just a few. The mine operated until WW II. It is very deep, about 5,900 feet, full of water now. It has an interesting and incredible history.
