As a 75 yr old, I can confidently say, “there’s a reason god invented snow blowers.” 🥴

Hot dog! I just have 3 more months to go!

Looks good until the snowplow comes along and deposits a 3ft. wall at the end of the driveway!

That's always a bummer. Fortunately, I have great neighbors who plow back the snow banks if they get to high.

I have a friend who used to sell driveway heating systems. Our driveway is flat but if it had much of a slope, at my age I'd probably be giving him a call.

Great job, just more reinforcement for me to stay here in Arizona, I have never had to shovel sunshine. ☀️

Last week, (Jan 5), snow landed in our neighborhood big time. There was six inches on the ground by the time I suited up and it was still coming down cold & heavy.
Undeterred, me and my shovel were determined to stay on top of it . . . . for almost 3 hours.
Mind you, my driveway is only 90' but I managed to log a weeks worth of exercise into an afternoon!

Your driveway looks good, but at my age I say "God put it there so he can take it away". I have never had any problems getting in or out of my driveway in my Ford Explorer. Once in awhile some of my neighbors feel sorry for me I guess and shovel my drive. Problem is they never get it all, and the salt that they spread on the driveway gets drug into the house, and there are spots of icy areas on the way to the mailbox. I don't know how many times it has caused me to slip and fall on my butt. I can walk in the snow just fine with no problems and drive my car in the snow right up to the garage door, but not on the ice.

Sounds to me like when you got to the end, it was time to start over again.

Your not kidding about starting over again. I was surprised that I logged nearly 3 miles on a 90 ft strip of concrete.

Dear raymondh...Whomever poured your concrete driveway did a great job. The expansion joints and quality of the concrete itself were done exceptionally well, so that you don't have any ugly cracks or rolling sections with corners sticking up. Oh yes, your images were great and your story was very enjoyable. I just finished shooting my 42-year of high action indoor sports for my home indoor soccer team, the Wichita Wings My new Sony A7R4 full frame mirrorless camera worked like a charm. I love the large sensor. Hope you enjoy. Shooter41

Dear raymondh...Whomever poured your concrete driv... (show quote)

The driveway is hanging in there (new in 2008 when I built the place) but I wish I had sealed the joints -it's slowly being undermined.
Everything I hear about mirrorless is that it's the way to go and judging by this action shot, you have become an instant master of its intricacies. While I'm not a soccer fan, I never realized the level of physical contact there is like you've captured here. So much for football & hockey!
And how about basketball? I share this one with you not only to prove the point, but how impressed I am with my newly acquired Topaz Software. Their Denoise & Sharpen are game changers for me. (I've only used Canon DPP & an occasional Picasa up to now.) This one was shot at ISO 6400 & was pretty noisy. I thought it cleaned up really well.
