This is a beautiful landscape!
Sorry I just don't understand the humor or pun behind the title

Oh yes..may be You're right...but may be there is something else! Excuse me, I have absolutly no idea about "base ball game"...when somebody says "diamond" in relation to baseball game, do I have to understand "area for this game"? If yes...why would it be "astonishing" to discover a base ball area outside in the country close to a forst? Is base ball game mainly played in urban area an very rarely in "pastoral country"? Pfouhhhh, english is sometime soooo complicate!!!

Sometime ball fields are placed where they can be placed. It might be in a clearing in the woods, JUST off of a road, especially in very rural areas.
Haha - Even some of
US have trouble with English!

It’s not meant to be funny. I’d say most baseball fields are located in City Parks. Unusual to find this one up a steep, muddy/snowy dirt road in the forest.

Well...I see...so players and publicum have to come to this area driving/walking on a "forst lane"...yes, for me too, this does sound quite strange. Next century they will perhaps construct a decent drive way? But the local inhabitants have at least a free spot outside to calm their nervs if they need to
I love in the picture how the "fog clouds" are stuck in the trees...
Nice photo with the hanging fog!

I believe I would crop out the bald sky, but then again, maybe not.
Here is what I gleam from your discrimination of photograph, a baseball field built for the players love of the game.
(Yes, I know it's a movie title "For Love of the Game", not trying to be corny)
Beautiful image - well captured!
