A few days ago their was a discussion about fine writing instruments. I would like to add my Cross Pens in the mix. The first pen (on the left) is a 14K Gold Cross Pen that I have had for 35-40 years. The next set is a 10K Gold Cross Pen and Pencil set that I have had for about 30 years.

Always loved Cross pens. I got a set from friends when I graduated college that I still have. That's about 40 years.

Unmatched quality. Guaranteed for the life of the item. Kind of product people who value quality seek. Zippo wind-proof lighters, Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses, and Cross pens and pencils are favored by people who pay attention to life, and tend not to lose things easily. Because I Can't (BIC) made many, many millions selling junk for people to lose.

My wife used a Carte Blanche Fountain Pen, it was her favorite. My daughter has it now and I am sure it will stay in the family and be passed along to her daughter.

Very nice! I still have several of them at least 40 years old.

My favorite uncle was a jeweler in Dallas and also sold Cross pens. He used a 14k Cross ballpen for as long as I can remember. I've always had a Cross pen. They are a little too thin for my preference but I always have to have one because they are great pens and even better refills.

I use and enjoy Cross Fountain Pens. They range in price from a thirty dollars or so up to several hundred. I could never see a tenfold advantage in a 300 dollar pen over one costing thirty dollars. With a ballpoint or a rollerball, it is the refill that makes the line. If you go to Staples or some other office supply place and buy a Cross refill (or a Sheaffer or Parker for that matter), it will write the same whether it is in a pen costing a few dollars or several hundred. I do like the Cross pens you have shared with us.
