Now that's foresight.
I was designing a schematic for my own computer in 1976, 8080 based.
2Kx8 bits of static RAM would fit on a 5x7 card.
My wife asked me why?
I told her that in a few years they will be all over the place like pocket calculators.
She said "Nah...".
The same year she asked "If fluorescent bulbs are so efficient, why don't they make them smaller so they fit in a lamp?"
I was a day late and a dollar short on both.
C'est la vie.
You should have been building one in your garage.

Yea... I could have called it Peach.
So THAT was my problem, I didn't have a garage then.
That might be it. That's where my cousin worked on his. His was somewhat successful.

That wasn't prophecy, that was looking at the direction the industry was taking based on insider knowledge and communication with the scientists and engineers that worked at Pacific Bell.

I know the feeling. Back in the mid 70's I had a friend that was an engineer with Westinghouse. He patented a paint process where metal could be painted first, and then bent into shape as in washers and dryers. He also patented an automated scoring system for bowling that was widely used in bowling establishments around the country. I took an idea to him where I proposed a small battery that could be kept in the car that would have enough power to start a card with a dead battery. I said it should be small enough to keep in the glove compartment of the car. Devices like that exist today but battery technology in the mid 70's was insufficient to make a battery that small and that powerful.
That's a good prediction.

Thanks for the link - interesting reading and the additional links at the end of the article provide more info - great way to prevent working on the honey-do list
Why can't someone come up with an idea that always makes the number of buns the same as the hotdogs..? Yes, there are a few exceptions although it is always my luck that one or the other is sold out. Is this a conspiracy and if so, is it the bun or the hotdog industry controlling our lives? Inquiring minds want to know.
Ironically that was published on my sixth birthday. At that time my family's telephone had no dial. To make a call we simply picked up the receiver and waited to hear the words, "central," "operator," or "number please." We also had to make sure someone else was not talking on our "part line."
