Considering I can no longer race into the wilds with my camera, I have begun to work various murals into panoramic photos that normally involve several images: File>Automate>Photo Merge in Photoshop. By the time I select the correct lens, set the correct M settings on my camera, remove aging blemishes and damages, delete obstructive foreground objects, select the right natural light while avoiding sub-freezing temperatures, and try to crop for presentation, the challenges have been a learning experience. Into the next weeks, I plan to post several murals available in Lawrence, KS area and I hope to continue my quest with other murals. I’m hopeful my postings will encourage other UHH viewer to find their own murals to shoot. In no way do I plan to try and market any of the mural postings.
That sounds like a worthwhile project, both from the technical learning experience and for preserving a record of the art. Good for you! This one's really cool! Looking forward to seeing more.
