Well .., we had a cold front come through with 2 more to go .. got down to the mid 60’s .. my wife pulled the blankets … 2 days ago we went walking at our favorite spot .., Magic Island and this was my first picture of the morning .., my wife wore a big coat … I wore shorts and flip flops ..!
I see on the news this morning that some areas of New England will be 40 below …over here .., that would kill off most Islanders and locals .. leaving only the tourists to fend for themselves ..
Be advised we still have openings for more tourists , but it’s filling up fast …the second shot is how you get here .. I took this shot as the aircraft flew over me at 3,000 ft .., 325mph .. the other pictures flew over me at 1-5 miles out at about the same speed /and height ..representing alternate venders specializing in Hawaiian Destinations ..
All shots hand held ..

Beautiful sea/landscape. I envy those that shoot bif, I'm even challenged by those big ones you caught.
Many years ago I was sent to Puerto Rico for a week to learn some techniques that the home labs had forgot. Around Wed. I asked the lady that was training me if if ever got cold. She replied that during Jan. and Feb. it would get real cold and everyone would be wearing heavy coats. When I asked how cold she replied, "65".

Nice Photos but...aircraft 3-5 miles after departure not only; cannot get to 325-350 mph but they are not allowed to exceed 250 knots below 10,000 msl.

The first one is my favorite and then the second one as Hawaiian is my favorite airline. My close friend has been a flight attendant for them since 1972.

Beautifully done. A little tight on the cropping in the front of the planes - flying out of the picture. First shot is beautiful
