Pencil collection.
While writing instruments are being displayed here I thought I'd share pictures of the collection of pencils from various travels. Unfortunately, due to covid, I do not have any recent additions & unless the situation improves markedly I may have a problem in trying to fill the set with the black base. They are not in any particular order but I do have all 112 listed. Some are more elaborate than others.
Very nice. I have saved a few special ones over the years, like from when my wife did the census and had those "1990 Census" pencils. When my son was a kid, I'd bring home souvenir pencils from my travels.
Very nice.
Never thought of doing something like that.
makes me want to travel. Nice collection and presentation
I'd like to see them arranged so the colours make a pattern.
This is an interesting collection.
In the early 2000's I was traveling to Asian countries for business and have a small collection of hotel stationary. We did get to stay in some nice hotels and some of the stationary is very nice.
Thanks for comments. On reflection I think the fact that the pencils were cheap appealed to my cheapskate tendencies & their not being heavy enough to make for an excess luggage charge. Also, stealing from the old Jules Feiffer cartoon, if I decide that tomorrow I am going to become a famous artist I will have lots of equipment.
