Even though the buildings have long since lost their utility, the land is still of use to store hay for the winter cattle feedings.
I wanted to emphasize the whiteness of the snow, given the brilliant lighting I had that day, so I used a b/w gradient map to showcase the snow without blowing it out. I also reduced the opacity of the gradient map layer to bring out a hint of color and not make it a straight b&w image. So much opportunity with light, snow and Montana...
