So I spent well over an hour in just this one location trying many different angles and exposure times. I had no idea what the final image was going to be when I set this shot up, but I am pretty happy with the outcome all the same.

Thanks for the comments. I feel the same way.
I did not. In that first composition, there were only one additional set of mooring poles about 6-8 on shore. The extra distance of shoreline was littered with debris from high tide and didn't flow with the rest of the frame in my opinion.
