Have any of you connected the Tamron 70-200 G2 to a tripod with Manfrotto 323 Compact Rapid Connect Adapter? What are you connecting to the Arc-Swiss tripod mount? Are you using the Manfrotto QR plate? Is there a better way?

It would be nice to have a link to know what your talking about .......yes, I also know google is my friend 8-(

You can screw an Arca /Swiss receiver to the top of the "323" - https://www.ebay.com/itm/313375978162?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l9372 - there are cheaper ones than this if you look hard .....
All you need at this point is the receiver part - but the A/S plate can come in handy for other fixture-ing 8-)

Manfrotto have its own quick release system. The arc Swiss is universal. I changed the tripod collar from certain lenses where arc Swiss plate is built in. I was tired to find the plates and change it every time

Imagemeister, Thanks, I ordered the Arca Swiss receiver earlier today. Right now I have the Manfrotto plate on Lense Arca Swiss tripod mount. That's just unconmfortable handheld or awkward if I rotate it. Sorry for the unclear original post.

uhaas2009, I have the Manfrotto quick release system in everything else. This Tamron 70-200 G2 is the odd man out with the Arca Swiss tripod mount. It's just adding a complication I'd rather avoid. See my response to Image Meister above. Is there an Manfrotto Tripod collar for the Tamron 70-200 G2?
