I sent in this gallery to MaxPreps. Don't know if any of these are the ones he was talking about but my gallery was rejected. He said out of focus and something about color cast. DAMN it I think I am done with indoor sports. I have had it. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Tom go back thru your submitted gallery under 'gallery management', click on the rejected gallery, next click on 'view images' under there you'll see (before Jim gives up) what photo's he rejected, sometime he puts a comment on them like the one I'm posting here where I was shooting past the reach of my 400mm. If I cropped it in (which I could have easily done), he would have mentioned to 'Never Crop' because all I'm doing is magnifying the noise which he is correct. Jim uses Photo Mechanic to look at the images at 100% (I use Faststone which is free and I can view 100% and cull my images to the ones I want in LR). Not sure if Photo Mechanic or any viewer can give info/ratio on the original SOOC size of image to the new "I didn't or hardly cropped-it" image.

See if any of these images that you have posted here on uhh were rejected and get back to us (that's if Jim made it thru your entire gallery, at some point he gives up). Maybe on some of your posted images here there's a magenta color cast on the skins, not sure what white balance you used on your Nikon (I'm Canon). Tuesday night, I did a custom white balance using both an expo-disc (for my 70-200mm and 50mm) and grey card (300mm). I'm leaning towards using more custom white balance over Auto White Balance with white priority for the indoor venues. I'll be posting those games to MP in the next few games, just finding time with my day job to clean these images up.

Maybe others will have more or deeper input to your images but we need to know which of the above failed the MP criteria.

Be safe Tom don't throw in the towel yet on indoor,
Rick

And I guess this was also no-no and this photo rejected along with a few other similar ones, even though I filled the frame the defensive player's back was not in the position (to far away from player with the ball) to make this capture good. I have many comments on the photo.

Basketball is tough Tom. Between the lighting, some windows, some florescent, auto w/b seems to work.

I am going to try one more time, basketball and wrestling. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Tom go back thru your submitted gallery under 'gal... (show quote)

I went back and tried again after culling some. Still no good. He says Comp on some. He also said too many not filling frame. I went back through AGAIN culled a ton of photos (he was right, I didn't get frame filled with the shot) I Know Jules "SHOOT TIGHT" After looking at the bad ones I know what I need to do now. Just waiting to see if Jim accepts what I sent in. Thanks BE SAFE!!
