Very nice visitors. They must like what you serve
The word is out about the good food at Don's place!
These are Quaker Parrots (aka Monk Parakeets) which make great pets. I have one of my own named Mickey. They are communal birds and their nests can be huge. They have actually been banned as pets in certain states in the US. They quite often build their nests on power poles and have been known to disrupt the service. They are great mimics and my little guy can probably say about 25 different phrases and many more single words and sounds. Right now he is over in his cage chuckling at me.
I really enjoyed seeing your images and am very envious.

Nice! We used to get parrots (blue-crowned conures) at my backyard feeder when I lived near the ocean in the Space Coast area. They loved safflower seeds - about the only birds that do! My youngest daughter could go out and talk to them and they would just watch her with interest, but if I opened up the door they flew off....

Thanks for the education randave, I did not know that. I guess there are about 15 to 20 that fly around in my area. During nesting season they would fly over and break off small branches from our tree and fly off. Then they would repeat.
Thanks for viewing and your comment.
